My husband wants a divorce https://printabledivorce.com/texas/tarrant-county-divorce-forms/, but he also wants me to be around like nothing happened.
we have been married for 8 years, we are over 40, no children. Last February, I found out that my X was exchanging flirtatious messages with a female co-worker. This was not the first episode of his betrayal, so our relationship has been on the verge of collapse before, and there are some serious trust issues that have never been resolved. When I ran into him he said he wanted a divorce, I agreed to the divorce and started looking for a place for myself and moved in June.
We pretty much continued to act the same way we did when we were married, doing everything together as before, with the only difference being that he no longer said "I love you" and stopped wearing his wedding ring sometime in August. Correspondence with his colleague stopped after I sent her a message in February in which I told her about it. But a month ago I found out they were texting each other again so I ran into him again and he said he still wants a divorce but we can continue to be friends because he worries about me being single. This is obviously not entirely true, he may be worried about me, but he absolutely loves my company and everything I bring to his life.
He calls me, makes plans and wants me to be around, but he also wants to live his life as a single man and not take any responsibility. I am absolutely done with it, but it just puzzles me why some people do it. They do not want a relationship with a person, but they want him to be around. Is this cruelty? Is it manipulation? It's hard for me to understand. |
